It was fifty years ago this summer….

A few Lerpoolians of a certain age may hear a very distant bell ringing at the sight of this photo. I can’t remember who took it, but it shows a moment of informal celebration almost exactly 50 years ago after A-level exams when the 1973 Sixth Form (at least the part of it still bothering to turn up for school in June/July) was caught on camera shortly before being unleashed upon an unsuspecting world….

An eclectic range of hairstyles was being worn at the time - maybe it helps to remember that `Long Haired Lover from Liverpool’ had been a worldwide hit for Jimmy Osmond just a few short months earlier….!

I have tried to remember the surnames of as many people as I can in the photo (see below) – with apologies for inadvertent errors and omissions!
