When I left Liverpool College in the 1960s I had no intention of engaging with my old school ever again. I stayed in touch with a couple of friends, but we hardly spoke of our school days. Recently, one of them, who knew I had boarded at School House, pointed me in the direction of the Lerpoolian website. There I was surprised and relieved to find lively contributions from members who had “done time” 

The Lerpoolian website, I discovered, is far more representative of what school life was and is like for most pupils and not just the elite few who blossom early. I am in awe of those who put in the work to create and administer it.

Many thanks for the Lerpoolians website. I was always pleased to receive the old printed newsletter, even when it told of the passing of folks I had once known. The new site retains the merits of the newsletter but takes it a great deal further. Bravo!

The latest project The Lerpoolians have introduced was the fund-raising event for the Chapel organ. I couldn't attend but was delighted to buy a copy of the recording.

And it's more than just the organ! Listening to the organ I feel myself back in the Chapel again, when Jack Charles was at the consul some 70 years ago. So, thank you. keep up the good work.

As others observe, receipt of the annual newsletter was always a magic moment and much appreciated, particularly for the underlying humour which ran through it. The development of the present website has enhanced the humour, the appreciation and every other aspect of school life which we all once knew. My own particular appreciation goes to the organisers and administrators of the website. Thank you! I am happy to confirm that I am not William Shakespeare.
